BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN has closed the Hard Rock Calling festival with a blistering set that lasted almost three hours.

The legendary rocker, who performed at Glastonbury the night before, opened his headlining set in London's Hyde Park with a rendition of The Clash's London Calling as Mick Jones looked on.

The New Jersey star played a number of his classic songs, including Badlands, Glory Days and Dancing in the Dark, as well as some more recent tracks, such as Working On A Dream and Radio Nowhere.

But it was Born To Run that got the 45,000-strong crowd in the Royal Park dancing and singing their heads off.

Other acts performing during the day included James Morrison, the Dave Matthews Band, Starsailor and The Gaslight Anthem, whose frontman Brian Fallon joined Springsteen on stage for No Surrender.
