EMINEM announced today that his hip-hop group D12 will reform.

The rapper said that the group would be returning to the studio to record a new album after a five-year hiatus.

The Relapse star also said that the murder of D12 member Proof in 2006 has had a devastating impact on his life, but has admitted his music would still be the same if his friend were still here.

Speaking to Rap City, he said: "Right now, my music would probably be the same if Proof was still alive."

"I think this is what Proof always wanted, was for me to go crazy again. My life would be different because I would still have him. Me and the guys, we got a bond, it's special. It's like, as far as the future of D12, we're gonna be back in the studio soon."
