Morrissey exited stage left during his Coachella set on Friday (April 17), complaining that the smell of cooking meat from the various food stalls around the festival was "making me sick".

The co-author of the pro-vegetarian classic 'Meat Is Murder' walked offstage during the Smiths song 'Some Girls Are Bigger Than Others' at the enormo-fest in LA last weekend.

At one point, he sneared "I smell burning flesh... and I hope it's human." Further complaints were followed by walk off. He returned to the stage some minutes later to finish the show, still complianing "The smell of burning animal flesh is making me sick."

Morrissey's set concluded with the classic 'How Soon Is Now', leaving another famous vegetarian, Sir Paul McCartney, to end Friday night's proceedings.

Last summer, a rumour circulated that Mozzer's Wireless show in Hyde Park would ban all meat-based fast food stalls, but this turned out to be untrue.
