Festival Republic, promoters of the Reading and Leeds Festival, have today confirmed that all weekend tickets for this year’s event are sold out for both sites. This includes all combined ticket and coach packages.
In addition, all day tickets for all days have sold out for The Reading Festival.
A small amount of day tickets are, at time of writing, available for all days at The Leeds Festival, priced £70 per day. See www.leedsfestival.com for details of where to buy these tickets.
Melvin Benn, MD of Festival Republic, said of the dual sell out:
“This is the 7th year in succession that both events have sold out within 24 hours of going on sale and I am very very pleased of course. The stature of the events have grown and grown each year and this year’s line up only adds to that. However, I must express caution towards all those who will now try to get their hands on tickets in whatever way they can as they do need to be careful of dodgy sites.”
The world famous Reading and Leeds Festival takes place from Friday 28th August to Sunday 30th August 2009.
