The Voom Blooms are set to kick start the new year with a showcase gig at London's famous Hoxton Bar and Grill on Tuesday 20th January.
The Loughborough band are heading to the capital to promote their E.P 'The Beach House', due for release early 2009. Recorded at a L.A beach house on the 5-piece's first US tour the Voom Bloom's debut E.P is highly anticipated.
Championed by Steve Lamacq and winners of Zane Lowe's 'Fresh Meat', 2008 saw the Voom Blooms complete two successful tours of America, including showcases at SXSW and CMJ, record their debut E.P, recruit a new guitarist and play numerous UK gigs, successes the band intend on building on in 2009 starting with their confirmation of SXSW 09.

"They write songs about ships, have the whole psychedelic 60s thing going on, they play harmonicas and jangly guitars and their bass player sounds like he jumped in a time machine to spend the night spying on Phil Spector working with the Ronnettes. The Voom Blooms debut EP 'The Beach House', due for spring release is an incredible little record.
Already championed by MTV, Rolling Stone and Radio1 as being a band to watch out for in 2009."
