Following their triumphant Saint Valentine's Day Massacre at The Forum earlier this year, legendary British rock and roll band The Godfathers headline a 'Rock And Roll Extravaganza' at The Islington Academy, London on Friday October 24th. The Rock And Roll Extravaganza will feature a bill handpicked by The Godfathers that includes incendiary rockers The Jim Jones Revue (currently attracting praise from the likes of Noel Gallagher and Primal Scream), acclaimed rocking blues trio The Jooks Of Kent and long time Godfathers fan Andrew Weatherall dropping one of his infamous rock and roll DJ sets.

The Godfathers originally formed in 1985, emerging out of the ashes of The Sid Presley Experience. They dressed like the Krays and sounded like Johnny Thunders' bastard English offspring, quickly establishing a fearsome reputation for their no holds barred high energy live show. In the dark days of the eighties The Godfathers were a beacon of rock and roll light. They scored a US top 40 hit with the storming rocker 'Birth School Work Death' in the late eighties and became a mainstay of US college radio.

After years of speculation and expectation The Godfathers reformed earlier this year with their original, classic line up of Peter Coyne, Chris Coyne, Mike Gibson, Kris Dollimore and George Mazur and released a vastly expanded 2 CD collector's edition reissue of their classic debut album 'Hit By Hit' to significant critical acclaim on the band's own Corporate Image label.

Join The Godfathers, The Jim Jones Revue, The Jooks Of Kent and Andrew Weatherall for a true testimonial and celebration of rock and roll at The Islington Academy on Friday October 24th.
