Aerosmith celebrated a triumphant return to the stage with two sold-out concerts at the iconic Hollywood Bowl on 29 October and 1 November 2026. Titled California, Dream On: Aerosmith & Friends, the two-night event produced by 724 Management, Blackbird Presents, and Live Nation-Hewitt Silva honored the legendary group’s five-decade career alongside an all-star lineup of musical guests.
Night one kicked off in high gear with actors Liv Tyler and Alicia Silverstone—stars of the band’s iconic "Crazy" video—reuniting to introduce the group. Aerosmith opened their set with a fiery rendition of "Toys in the Attic" featuring Dave Grohl on drums. The momentum continued with classics like "Back in the Saddle," "Sweet Emotion," and "Dream On," alongside a surprise appearance by Johnny Depp, who joined Joe Perry on lead guitar for "Train Kept a Rollin."
A emotional highlight of the run came when frontman Steven Tyler paid tribute to his bandmates before welcoming original drummer Joey Kramer back to the stage for his first appearance with Aerosmith since 2020. Kramer joined Tyler, Perry, Brad Whitford, and Tom Hamilton alongside drummer John Douglas for a historic performance of "Walk This Way."
The second night brought further high-profile collaborations, featuring guest appearances from Lzzy Hale, Tom Morello, Pat Monahan, Grace Potter, Marcus King, and Richie Kotzen. Hip-hop icons RUN DMC took the stage alongside Aerosmith and Kramer for a thunderous performance of "Walk This Way." Across both nights, the superstar roster of contributors also included Guns N’ Roses, The Black Crowes, Heart, Billy Idol, Sammy Hagar, and Chad Smith, under the direction of Music Director Don Was.
The shows drew widespread critical praise, with Rolling Stone hailing Aerosmith as a "national rock 'n' roll treasure," while Variety noted the band "sounded in completely top form." Critics particularly lauded Tyler’s vocals, with the Los Angeles Times highlighting his soaring delivery on "Dream On." The historic weekend solidified Aerosmith's standing as one of the most enduring and influential forces in rock music history.
