Two previously-unheard Ozzy Osbourne tracks are set to be released.
The Paranoid hitmaker - who passed away in July 2025 - secretly recorded a number of songs with producer Andrew Watt while working on his 2022 album Patient Number 9, and they are now expected to be made public to coincide with the upcoming movie being made about his life.
A source told The Sun newspaper's Bizarre column: “Ozzy had a practical outlook about his medical issues and life.
“He was very excited to be in the studio for the Patient Number 9 sessions because Andrew managed to bring energy and excitement, even though he was struggling with his ailments.
“They worked on the album and Ozzy knew that, with the biopic in development, he saw an idea for works about his life and romance with Sharon.
“Those tracks have only been heard by Andrew and his musicians."
The songs are described as still being "works in progress", and even Ozzy's widow Sharon Osbourne, who managed his career, hasn't heard them.
The insider added: “The final mixes have not even been finished. They remain works in progress and to be considered for the movie.
“Sharon doesn’t even know what the final mixes will sound like.
“But the likelihood is that they will come to play some part in the biopic, which would be incredible.
“Unheard songs from Ozzy from beyond the grave is something he would have loved.”
Sharon and son Jack Osbourne have been the driving forces behind the biopic and the film is moving forward, though fans may have a long wait for both the movie and the songs as it is still in development.
A source said: “The script is being worked on as a final draft with Sony Studios looking for directors.
“Sharon has been measuring up who could play her and deliver the intensity of her personality while also holding it together while Ozzy goes through his demons on-screen.”
Jack recently teased he is very "excited" about the potential lead actor in the film.
Asked if he has someone in mind to play Ozzy, Jack told E! News: "Conversations have been had, and we’re very [excited]— if it all works out. It’s gonna be awesome."
Jack hopes the movie will honour his dad's legacy, while also entertaining fans of the late rock star.
He said: "I have this mantra, and I always say it, when in meetings with my mom or doing anything with the family business. It’s, ‘give the fans what they want.’ That’s our people. That’s who we’re catering for. That’s what my dad wrote music for. That’s what he toured for. It’s why we did the shows we did. It’s been a big theme.
"We’re doing the Ozzy movie with Sony, and I’m always saying in the meetings, ‘We have to give the fans what they want'. We can’t make this artsy, kind of esoteric biopic. No, we’re not doing that, for many reasons, but it’s not what the fans want."
