My Chemical Romance have reportedly agreed not to use Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders outfits on stage.
The Famous Last Words emo legends had caused a stir as they kicked off their run of five shows at Hollywood Bowl in Los Angles on October 21.
During a performance of Teenagers, from their iconic 2006 album The Black Parade, the band were joined by dancers dressed in outfits based on the DCC's well known blue and white uniforms.
During the show, the dancers swapped pom-poms for guns and ended up in a staged gunfight, which has led to the cheerleaders' parent company Pro Silver Star taking legal action.
According to TMZ, My Chem have reached an agreement with the company to not dress their cheerleaders up like in the Dallas Cowboys uniform.
The agreement was reached before a court hearing, with DCC claiming the victory.
On Friday (23.10.26), Pro Silver Star filed a motion for a temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction to bar the band from using the costumes.
In the filing, Pro Silver Star said: "Audience members and online commentators understandably believed that the performers were the real Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders and said so in social media posts that continue to circulate."
The company's legal rep insisted they were "not litigious", and didn't want to fight against My Chem's "artistic ambitions".
The filing continued: “Silver Star is not litigious, and it takes no issue with MCR’s music, its artistic ambitions, or any message defendants seek to convey.
“Silver Star does not ask defendants to change their setlist, narrative, politics, choreography, or even their decision to put gun-toting performers on stage.
“Silver Star asks only that those performers not wear the DCC Uniform while doing it. The universe of alternative costume designs is effectively unlimited.”
My Chem hit the stage at the Hollywood Bowl on October 21, 23 and 24, and they will return for two more shows over Halloween weekend.
The record-breaking five night run at the LA venue is part of The Black Parade 20th anniversary world tour.
For Saturday's (24.10.26) gig, the group played the album in full, before an encore featuring tracks like Give 'Em Hell, Kid, Zero Percent, The Ghost of You, I'm Not Okay (I Promise), Cemetery Drive and Na Na Na (Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na), before ending with The Light Behind Your Eyes.
The encourage has changed each show, with tracks like Bury Me In Black, Helena, Summertime and Boy Division also getting played at the Hollywood Bowl over the first three shows.
