Sia has reached an agreement to sell off half of her music catalogue.

According to documents obtained by TMZ, the Chandelier singer sold a 50 per cent stake in her catalogue to entertainment and investment company Pophouse for a total of $180 million (£134 million).

The sale is complicated by her recent divorce from Dan Bernad.

According to the documents, Sia will receive a payout of $165 million (£124 million) for the songs she penned before she married to Bernad, including her hits Chandelier, Titanium and Cheap Thrills. Her ex has agreed to waive any rights to that money, if Sia gives him $1 million (£750,000).

The remaining $15 million (£11.3 million) is allocated for songs she made after the pair married. That money will be held in escrow until they agree how to split it.

Sia was married to Bernad for less than three years before she filed for divorce in March 2025.

She has already agreed to pay $42,500 (£32,000) a month in child support for their two-year-old son, Somersault Wonder Bernad.

Taking to X at the time, she penned, "I'm a sober working mom trying to buy peace. I have primary custody of our son, and since I am the only parent earning income, I still have to pay California's incredibly high child support."

The singer then opened up about the fallout she has endured since she filed for divorce.

"This has been a horrific year, but it taught me how to navigate incredibly difficult situations, prioritise my family and not absorb other people's negativity," she added.

An hour before her explanation, the Titanium singer took a swipe at her ex by posting, "Good dads get jobs."
