Bebe Rexha has revealed how surprised she was to receive behind-the-scenes assistance from Taylor Swift.
The Meant to Be singer shared a story about Taylor's unexpected act of kindness.
On the red carpet for the 20206 MTV Video Music Awards in LA, Bebe, 37, told E! News that as a plus-sized artist, she had struggled to find a gown to wear to the 2019 Grammys.
"I couldn't find a dress," the singer said, explaining designers had no interest in dressing her for the event.
However, she went on to share that Taylor somehow became aware of her plight and got in touch in hopes of helping out.
"She had reached out to me because we're the same age," Bebe explained, "and I thought that was really, really, really kind of her."
The I'm a Mess singer added it was particularly unexpected to hear from Taylor, 36, given how successful the Grammy winner was.
"Nobody really reached out, " Bebe recalled. "Like, some people did, but for her, at such a high level, to make me feel like I belong was really, really nice."
At the same event, Bebe also reflected on some of her fondest memories of the late Dolly Parton, who died on 25 August at the age of 80 after a brief bout with cancer.
"She is the baddest b***h," the singer, who worked with Dolly on their 2023 song Seasons, said. "Her corset was tighter than mine. Her heels were insane, and then I looked at my outfit, and I was like, 'I feel like I'm not doing enough.' She had her hair so high."
Bebe concluded that meeting Dolly had been every bit as good as she hoped it might.
"She was like the most energetic, kind, chill," she recalled. "I loved it because sometimes when you meet your idols, they kind of let you down. I've been in situations like that, but with her, she was amazing."
