Californian singer-songwriter Stella Lefty is leading the race for this week’s UK Number 1 single with her breakout hit Boston, according to the latest Official Chart First Look update.
Having held firm at Number 4 for the past four weeks, the track has surged into the top spot based on preliminary sales and streaming reports. If Boston maintains its momentum, it will dethrone British star Sienna Spiro's Great Expectation, which drops to Number 2 after spending two consecutive weeks atop the summit.
The midweek update also highlights major moves across the Top 10. Noah Kahan's single Orbiter is on course to climb 16 places to Number 6, marking his highest-charting UK entry since his 2024 Sam Fender collaboration, Homesick.
Meanwhile, Welsh artist Jamie Miller looks set to secure his first Top 10 single, as a new version of Babydoll featuring Off Campus actor Antonio Cipriano rockets 17 spots to Number 7.
Dua Lipa’s 2024 hit Training Season continues its upward surge, rising to Number 4 to equal its original chart peak. Olivia Dean makes two appearances in the early Top 10, with Man I Need climbing to Number 5 and her Sam Fender duet Rein Me In holding at Number 8. Olivia Rodrigo's The Cure sits at Number 9, while Sienna Spiro's former chart-topper Die On This Hill rounds out the top tier at Number 10.
Outside the Top 10, 16-year-old rising star Freya Skye is tracking to deliver the week's highest new entry at Number 15 with bad taste, following her debut EP stardust earlier this year. Slovak pop artist ADÉLA eyes a new peak of Number 13 with Nicole Kidman, while house producer Cloonee is poised to make his Top 40 debut with Good Girl featuring Prospa and Tristan Henry, entering the midweeks at Number 30.
The final standings will be revealed on Friday’s Official Singles Chart Top 100.
