Siblings Johnny and Lillie Flynn have announced details of their upcoming collaborative album, Beam Cottage, set for release on 6 November 2026 via Transgressive Records.
Produced by Charlie Andrew, known for his work with Alt-J, Marika Hackman, and London Grammar, the 14-track collection features a mix of original material, re-recorded duets from Johnny's back catalogue, and covers of songs the duo grew up singing together. To mark the announcement, the pair have released opening track "The Music Of The Spheres," an original composition by Johnny featuring pedal steel player Joe Harvey Whyte.
The album's title references the thatched house in Hampshire where the siblings spent their early childhood. The tracklist includes covers of material by Paul Simon, Hank Williams, Billy Bragg, and Johnny Mercer, alongside a recording of "Sleepy Head," a lullaby written and originally performed by their late father, actor and musician Eric Flynn.
"Beam Cottage was home to Johnny and Lillie Flynn when they were children," the announcement explains. "The years at Beam Cottage feel like an idyll of happiness and togetherness before life began to feel more complicated and we were separated from each other."
The record features guest appearances from the South African vocal group The Joy, who perform on the single "The Ghost Of O'Donahue," as well as contributions from members of the Flynns' long-term backing ensemble, the River Band. Lillie also steps into the lead vocal role on new track "Brockwell Park" and a version of the traditional blues folk arrangement "Tell Old Bill."
To celebrate the release, Johnny and Lillie Flynn will perform a sold-out launch show at London's Royal Festival Hall on 21 November 2026. Due to demand, a second headline London performance has been added at the Union Chapel on 14 December 2026, with tickets going on general sale on 11 September.
Beam Cottage is available to pre-order across digital, CD, and vinyl formats ahead of its November release.
