Duran Duran will become the ninth music act to feature in a dedicated Royal Mail Special Stamp issue, set for release on 17 September 2026.
The collection celebrates the band’s music, visual identity, and cultural impact, coinciding with the 45th anniversary of their self-titled debut album and breakthrough single "Planet Earth." Royal Mail worked in direct collaboration with the group on the design and selection of artwork across the issue.
The main set of eight stamps highlights iconic album covers spanning five decades of the band’s career: Duran Duran, Rio, Seven and the Ragged Tiger, Notorious, Duran Duran (The Wedding Album), Astronaut, Paper Gods, and Future Past.
A companion miniature sheet features four additional stamps inspired by promotional tour posters across their live career, highlighting the Careless Memories Tour, Astronaut Tour, Sing Blue Silver Tour, and Invisible Tour.

Formed in Birmingham in 1978, Duran Duran have sold over 100 million records worldwide and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2022. They follow previous musical honourees in the Royal Mail series, including The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Queen, The Rolling Stones, Iron Maiden, Spice Girls, The Who, and AC/DC.
The release arrives alongside a busy period for the band, following the release of their single "Free To Love" with Nile Rodgers, an accompanying remix collection, and a planned autumn 2026 UK arena tour that includes a Halloween show at The O2 in London.
Pre-orders for the stamps and collectible products, including a £22.50 Presentation Pack containing all 12 stamps, open on 10 September 2026 via Royal Mail's website and telephone lines ahead of general sale on 17 September.
