Kasabian are locked in a tight race with metalcore outfit PRESIDENT for the top spot on the UK Official Albums Chart.
ACT III, the ninth full-length studio release from Leicester-based rock band Kasabian, currently holds the Number 1 spot in the mid-week update. If the album retains its lead, it will mark the group’s eighth consecutive UK Number 1 record, pulling them level with artists such as Oasis and Led Zeppelin for total chart-topping albums.
Challenging Kasabian at Number 2 is PRESIDENT with their debut full-length record, Blood Of Your Empire. Formed in early 2025, the mysterious metalcore cohort—consisting of members The President, Heist, Protest, and Vice—follow up their previous EP release King Of Terrors with a record currently trailing Kasabian by fewer than 900 chart units.
The mid-week Top 5 features several new entries. Slovak artist ADÉLA enters at Number 3 with her debut studio album PRIMA, supported by the success of her single "Ain't in LA". Pop singer Natalie Imbruglia places at Number 4 with Algorithm, her first studio release in five years. If it holds its position, Algorithm will become Imbruglia's highest-charting album since her 2005 release, Counting Down The Days. Olivia Rodrigo's former chart-topper rounds out the Top 5.
Further down the update, former Thin Lizzy frontman Ricky Warwick sits at Number 6 with Fire & Vengeance, eyeing a career-best solo placement, while Ellie Goulding’s I Know Too Much tracks toward the Top 10 at Number 10. Dexys target a ninth Top 40 album with LOVE at Number 11, and Liverpool singer-songwriter Jamie Webster enters the update at Number 13 with Running Round The Sun.
Reissues and physical formats are also driving momentum elsewhere in the chart. A 20th-anniversary push sees Beyoncé’s B'DAY re-enter at Number 15, while vinyl releases propel Evanescence’s Sanctuary to Number 20 and Foo Fighters’ Your Favorite Toy to Number 26.
