Alex Warren is on course to secure his second consecutive UK Number 1 album with his new release, WILDCHILD.
According to the latest Official Albums Chart update on 1 September 2026, the American singer-songwriter's second studio LP is leading the midweek standings. Named after the childhood nickname given to him by his late father, the album explores themes of grief, loss, and hope. If it maintains its momentum, WILDCHILD will join his 2024 debut You'll Be Alright, Kid (Chapter 1) as a chart-topping release.
Chasing behind in the Number 2 spot are Middleton rockers The Courteeners with their new compilation God Bless The Band. Bringing together classic tracks alongside two brand-new songs, the release is set to give the group their ninth UK Top 10 album.
Meanwhile, Bananarama are tracking for a major chart milestone at Number 3 with the 40th anniversary reissue of their 1986 record True Confessions. Originally peaking at Number 46, the expanded edition features unreleased mixes, rarities, and B-sides, putting Keren Woodward, Sara Dallin, and Siobhan Fahey on track to land their third UK Top 10 album. The trio expressed their gratitude to fans for the overwhelming support surrounding the landmark anniversary of the record, which originally featured their global hit "Venus."
Mexican sibling trio The Warning are set to achieve their first-ever UK main chart entry, with their fifth studio album Everything's Falling currently sitting at Number 10.
