BigXthaPlug has pleaded 'no contest' in a 2025 unlawful weapon case.
The Texas rapper, whose legal name is Xavier Landum, appeared in Dallas County Criminal Court on a charge of unlawfully carrying a weapon, stemming from an incident in August 2025.
A no-contest plea does not involve an admission of guilt, nor a trial to fight the charges.
The court found that the evidence substantiated his guilt but deferred further proceedings, placing him instead on community supervision.
Final adjudication on the matter will happen in six months' time, according to court documents obtained by Billboard.
The day in court comes soon after BigXThaPlug made headlines for another arrest last month. As reported by Billboard, the rapper was taken into custody on 21 August, exactly one year after his previous arrest, on charges including driving while intoxicated, marijuana possession and unlawful possession of a firearm.
The two cases are separate.
The country-leaning hip-hop star was previously arrested in February 2025 and charged with the possession of less than two ounces of marijuana.
BigXthaPlug broke through to the mainstream last year thanks to his hit All the Way featuring Bailey Zimmerman, which peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100.
