Kacey Musgraves forged ahead with her recent show in Boston despite a small fire breaking out above the stage.
During her performance of the song Golden Hour, the country music singer stands in the middle of the stage and is surrounded by a ring of sparks showering down from the ceiling.
But there was a hitch during Friday's show at TD Garden in Boston, as part of the pyrotechnic ring hanging above the stage caught on fire.
In response, Kacey kept her cool and made jokes as she addressed the small fire that burned far above her head.
"That looks bad. Genuinely, something's on fire," she told the audience, before quipping, "I have way too much hairspray to be standing under that s**t."
According to social media clips, the Follow Your Arrow singer told the crowd to "pretend" like there was nothing wrong as she tried to continue the show.
"Anyway, I found myself spending a lot of time alone in the making of this album, and I didn't really love spending a lot of time alone. It gives me anxiety," she said, before joking, "So does that."
"But genuinely, it seems fine, right?!" Kacey asked light-heartedly. "I only like pyro when I know what's going to happen."
She then quipped, "Does anyone have a bedazzled fire extinguisher anywhere?" before launching into her next song.
According to an attendee, the fire eventually went out on its own.
Kacey kicked off the Middle of Nowhere tour, in support of her album of the same name, in Chicago on 21 August. She is next scheduled to perform at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Monday and Tuesday nights.
