Photographer and activist Linda McCartney is set to be honoured by the United States Postal Service in a series of postage stamps.
The collection, which features her photography across 20 stamps and five images, includes still-life photographs of sunflowers and a teapot.
"Linda McCartney had a multifaceted career as a photographer, musician, cookbook author and animal rights activist," the USPS announced on Instagram.
"Her photography was connected to every facet of her nearly four-decade creative career, from capturing the spirit of the Sixties through intimate portraits of iconic musicians to documenting everyday life through authentic snapshots."
Born Linda Eastman, McCartney was a photographer who shot some of the biggest stars of the Sixties, a passionate animal rights activist, and the wife of former Beatle Sir Paul McCartney. In 1968, her image of a young Eric Clapton made her the first woman photographer to have her work featured on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine.
McCartney shot many celebrated rock and roll figures, including The Doors, Otis Redding, Jimi Hendrix, Frank Zappa and many more. She later co-founded Paul's post-Beatles band, Wings, in which she played keyboards.
She died in 1998 from breast cancer, aged 56.
The stamps will be available for purchase at USPS branches across the country from 25 September.
