Global girl group KATSEYE have claimed this week’s highest new entry on the UK Official Singles Chart with "Hootie Frutti," debuting at Number 16. The release of the single coincides with the group securing a career-best Number 2 placement on the Official Albums Chart with their new EP, WILD.

The entry makes KATSEYE—comprising Daniela Avanzini, Lara Raj, Megan Skiendiel, Sophia Laforteza, and Yoonchae Jeung—the first girl group since Little Mix in 2021 to secure five UK Top 40 singles within a single calendar year. Their 2026 chart tally includes "Internet Girl" in January (Number 24), "PINKY UP" in April (Number 14), "ICONIC BY MISTAKE" featuring LE SSERAFIM and ILLIT in June (Number 22), and current singles "Animal" and "Hootie Frutti."

Simultaneously, "Animal" climbed four places to Number 12, marking KATSEYE's highest-charting UK single to date. The chart milestones arrive ahead of the UK leg of THE WILDWORLD TOUR, featuring performances at London’s The O2 on September 3 and 4, followed by Manchester’s Co-op Live on September 6.

At the top of the chart, Sam Fender and Olivia Dean's collaboration "Rein Me In" maintained the Number 1 position, extending its record as the longest-running UK Number 1 single of all time to 22 non-consecutive weeks.

In the rest of the Top 10, STELLA LEFTY reached a new peak at Number 5 with breakout single "Boston," coinciding with the release of her debut album Long Way Home. Sheffield producer Silva Bumpa also achieved a career-best placement, rising to Number 9 with "On 2nite."

Driven by their inclusion in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Tame Impala’s "Loser" climbed to Number 11, while Steve Lacy’s "oh yeah?" entered the Top 20 at Number 18. Additionally, following her first solo Number 1 album with Lost Weekend, Phoebe Bridgers earned her highest-charting UK single to date as the album's title track debuted at Number 39.
