Brandon Flowers has revealed he "railed against" the Oasis reunion tour.
In a new BBC interview, The Killers frontman recalled feeling disappointed when he learned Liam and Noel Gallagher had mended their rift and decided to tour last year.
Flowers, who was hugely influenced by the British group as a teenager, feared the new generation of music fans wouldn't appreciate Oasis like he had.
"You know what? I was kicking against the Oasis reunion - not because I'm not happy they got back together, but because everyone was just an Oasis fan all of a sudden, even in America, and I sort of railed against it," he explained.
Despite his reservations, Flowers soon changed his mind after one of his children became an Oasis fan.
"But now I have a son who is 15 who has fallen in love with Oasis. He's learned (their songs) on guitar, and I'll play the piano, rehashing these songs that I loved when I was 19," he revealed.
Flowers shared his feelings on the Oasis reunion after admitting he no longer enjoys going to concerts.
Before he found fame with The Killers, the 45-year-old musician loved watching live performances, but admitted the experience has "lost the allure" because he now sees it as his place of work.
However, he revealed the band that inspired him to buy his first guitar could reignite this passion.
"I think I would probably feel it again if I went to see Oasis," he shared.
Flowers' third studio album, Thrasher, was released on Friday.
