Noah Kahan achieved the biggest headline milestone of his career on Saturday, playing to a sold-out audience of more than 56,000 fans at the iconic Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, California. The landmark show forms part of The Great Divide World Tour, which continues to see unprecedented global demand across North America, Australia, New Zealand, the UK, and Europe.
Following opening performances from Gigi Perez and Annabelle Dinda, the two-time Grammy-nominated Vermont singer-songwriter delivered an expansive, career-spanning set. Kahan showcased tracks from his latest Platinum-certified release, The Great Divide, including standout renditions of "American Cars," "Orbiter," and the album's title track. The evening also featured fan favourites from his four-times Platinum album Stick Season, such as "Dial Drunk," "Northern Attitude," and its acclaimed title song.
A highlight of the concert came when special guest Chappell Roan made an unannounced appearance on stage. The duo joined forces for a surprise duet performance of Roan's track "California," drawing a massive reaction from the Pasadena crowd.
The Rose Bowl performance marks another high point in a record-breaking year for the artist. The Great Divide debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, maintaining the top spot for three consecutive weeks and becoming the fastest Americana/Folk album in history to reach Platinum certification. Kahan's current stadium tour previously made history in Boston, where he became the first artist to sell out four consecutive nights at Fenway Park, earning an induction into the Fenway Music Hall of Fame.
Alongside the musical milestone, Kahan continues his work with The Busyhead Project, an initiative he founded in 2023 to support mental health organisations and expand access to mental health resources. Through a partnership with Live Nation on this tour, a minimum of $2 million in ticket sales proceeds is being directed to the cause, adding to the nearly $7 million the organization has raised to date.
The Great Divide World Tour continues tomorrow night at Petco Park in San Diego, before moving on to stadium dates in Phoenix, San Francisco, and Seattle. Kahan will then take the tour to Australia, New Zealand, the UK, and Europe this autumn.
