Travis Kelce "lived out his childhood dream" tying the knot with Taylor Swift at the "mecca of all sports venues".
The American football player exchanged vows with the pop superstar in front of 1,000 guests at Madison Square Garden, New York City's famed sports and music venue, on 3 July after around three years of dating.
Addressing the wedding publicly for the first time, Travis explained the significance of the arena while speaking to reporters at the Kansas City Chiefs' training camp in Missouri on Wednesday.
"It was kind of cool to be able to live out my childhood dream of being in that venue, the mecca of all sports venues, being able to get married in there," he said. "I can't thank the owners of MSG (enough) for allowing us to get the opportunity to do that, knowing that we wanted a private event and everything, so it was perfect."
Travis noted that the wedding was "a crazy night" filled with "a lot of celebration", and added, "Wedding was the best night of my life, and I appreciate everybody who came out and celebrated and had fun with us."
After sharing remarks about his "fun offseason", he made it clear to the press that he is now focused on his sport.
The wedding remains shrouded in mystery, as no images from their big day have been released, and guests signed NDAs banning them from sharing details publicly.
Taylor's spokesperson confirmed the marriage on the day and revealed that Adam Sandler officiated the ceremony, the singer's brother Austin Swift was her "man of honour", and Travis's brother Jason Kelce served as his best man.
The Shake It Off hitmaker wore a couture gown designed by Jonathan Anderson for Christian Dior.
The star-studded guest list included Lena Dunham, Ed Sheeran, the Haim sisters, Gigi Hadid, Bradley Cooper, Jack Antonoff, Hugh Grant, Dakota Johnson, Mariska Hargitay, and Sabrina Carpenter, among many more.
