Charli XCX stunned the crowd at Outside Lands festival on Saturday by making a cameo during Joe Keery's set.
The Apple hitmaker made a brief video appearance during the Stranger Things star's set as he performed Charlie's Garden at the festival in San Francisco, California.
In the original 2025 song, released under the actor's stage name Djo, his Stranger Things co-star Charlie Heaton makes a spoken-word voicemail-style cameo, but for the festival version, Joe tapped Charli for a surprise video voicemail message.
During the set, a phone ringtone could be heard over the speakers before the British singer flashed up on the screens either side of the stage at Golden Gate Park.
"Hey Djo, it's Charli. I had no idea that you'd written a song about me," she joked, as fans screamed. "That is like, so sweet of you. I'm honoured. Anyways, call me back after the show and we can talk about it. Bye!"
The 360 hitmaker had a major presence at this year's Outside Lands. She also headlined the festival on Friday and made a surprise appearance during The Strokes' set, joining the rockers for a rendition of Take It Or Leave It on Saturday.
Joe previously heaped praise on Charli in a 2024 interview with NME, saying that she's "really good" at writing songs "about a specific thing".
"I feel like she does that pretty consistently with a lot of her music," he shared. "I also love the production of her songs. I just think she's really cool and doing her own thing and not afraid to be herself. Which is kind of the whole point."
