Benson Boone postponed a concert over the weekend after "fighting like hell" to combat his vocal issues.
The Beautiful Things singer disappointed his fans in Sacramento, California on Saturday night by announcing that he had to scrap the show because his voice wasn't up to scratch.
According to The Sacramento Bee, Benson announced the postponement less than an hour before the show's scheduled start time.
"Sacramento - I'm so so sorry but I am not going to be able to perform tonight," he wrote in a statement on his Instagram Stories. "I've been fighting like hell all afternoon to try and make my voice presentable for the show tonight and it's not in a place to do so."
He continued, "I know this is extremely disappointing especially for everyone who traveled to be here. Trust me l am disappointed too. I hate letting you guys down more than anything."
The 24-year-old told his fans that his team was working on a new date for the show and he will update them "as soon as possible".
"I will see you soon. Thank you for sticking with me. Seriously. I love you guys so much. B," he concluded his statement.
Organisers at the Golden 1 Center announced on social media and on screens outside the venue that the concert was "postponed due to health reasons".
Benson also suffered vocal issues during his show in San Jose, California on Friday and was forced to cut the gig short.
He is currently on his Wanted Man tour, and is next scheduled to perform at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Monday.
