Dolly Parton is set to receive the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2026 Americana Honours & Awards.
The Americana Music Association is honouring her "enduring contributions as one of history's greatest songwriters and recording artists".
"We at the Americana Music Association have long admired Ms Parton's work as a singer, songwriter, entertainer and one of the greatest ambassadors music has ever known," Jed Hilly of the Americana Music Association shared.
"With all of her extraordinary accomplishments, from philanthropy to television, film and business, our desire is to honour Dolly for what has always been at the heart of her legacy: a definitive songwriter and artist whose songs have shaped generations."
The Americana Music Association's Lifetime Achievement Award recognises individuals whose careers have made an enduring impact on American roots music. Previous recipients include Buddy Guy, Emmylou Harris, Van Morrison, Bonnie Raitt and Willie Nelson.
The 2026 Awards will be held in Nashville, where Parton will accept the honour via video.
The 80-year-old singer has lately been managing a range of health woes, including recurring kidney stones and lingering immune and digestive system issues. She has stepped back from live performing and cancelled her planned Las Vegas residency late last year.
She has also been grieving the March 2025 death of her husband, Carl Dean.
