Melanie C has revealed she had a "little chat" with her Spice Girls bandmate Geri Halliwell-Horner after she wore white to her wedding.

The 52-year-old star tied the knot with model Chris Dingwall in the Lake District last month, and was joined by guests including Geri, Mel B and Emma Bunton.

During an interview with Australian radio station Kiis1065, Melanie was asked how she felt when Geri attended the wedding in a white outfit - a colour traditionally worn by the bride.

"I did have a little chat with Geri because it is her favourite colour," she replied.

"She wears it every day. But she had a beautiful floral dress on and it was white white... I did have a little giggle with her about that."

The star also revealed "several" of her favourite Spice Girls tracks were played during the day, and she even walked back up the aisle to a rendition of 2Become1.

While most of her Spice Girls bandmates were there to see Melanie exchange vows with Chris, Victoria Beckham was a notable absence as she was attending the FIFA World Cup with her husband David Beckham in the U.S.

When Melanie was quizzed on reports she had been "really upset" by Victoria's absence, the singer made it clear she understood why her bandmate couldn't make it.

"Victoria was very disappointed to not be there. She was with David in New York and it was the football final," she shared.

"She tried to get out of it - she isn't the biggest football fan, she won't mind me telling you - but the family were there and David had commitments, being an ambassador for FIFA."

Melanie then went on to praise Victoria for designing her wedding dress and revealed the pair have managed to catch up since the nuptials.

"Of course she made my gorgeous dress and she was messaging me on the day," Melanie added.

"I actually saw her when I was in Ibiza so we had a little catch up. We were giving her updates and sending her pictures."
