Street-streaming sensation DJ AG has shared his confidence that a live street performance with global superstar Drake “will happen” after the pair famously linked up on stage at Wireless Festival. Appearing on Capital XTRA Breakfast with Robert Bruce and Shayna Marie, the viral DJ reflected on the surreal moment he was invited to join the rap icon on stage.
Recalling how the last-minute festival link-up came together, DJ AG explained that the entire opportunity caught him completely off guard. Speaking on the radio show, AG revealed: “Yeah, crazy. Because that was very, like, last minute.” He continued: “So, I was performing there for the whole duration, and like, literally, like an hour before on the last day, I got a call to saying, ‘Yeah, Drake wants to make a moment with you, like, let's get you on the stage, and like, let's try and catch a vibe.’”
The unexpected news left the DJ stunned that the megastar was even aware of his viral street sets, admitting: “And I was like, ‘Huh? Is it?!’ Like, ‘He even knows who I am!’” Following that massive festival appearance, AG is now setting his sights on bringing the megastar into his own element for a street stream. “Anyway, yeah, so that was really crazy, and I'm hoping we can get Drake on the streets one day,” AG shared, adding: “That's my goal. I think it will happen.”
Presenter Shayna Marie enthusiastically agreed with the ambitious goal, replying: “I think it can happen.” DJ AG doubling down on his prediction, firmly declaring: “It will happen.” Marie encouraged him to build on their festival momentum, suggesting: “If you get him at the festival as well. Get him at the festival, get him on the streets.”
Closing out the discussion with a nod to the rap superstar, DJ AG added: “Drake, man. Ice man; it’s out, man.”
