Details for Bonnie Tyler's funeral have been released, with fans invited to celebrate her life by lining the procession route.

The Total Eclipse of the Heart singer died aged 75 on 8 July, as a result of an illness she was receiving treatment for.

It now been confirmed Tyler's coffin will be take to her home in Mumbles, Wales, on 15 August at 3.30pm.

Fans have been encouraged pay their respects and line Newton Road from 3.15pm.

A service to celebrate her life will take place at St Mary's Church in Swansea, Wales, on 17 August at midday.

Tyler - born Gaynor Hopkins - will then return to her hometown of Skewen, Neath Port Talbot, and is scheduled to travel through the village at around 1.20pm before a private family service is held.

Her family released the funeral plans via a notice placed in the South Wales Evening Post.

"Gaynor passed away tragically on July 8, 2026 at hospital in Portugal, aged 75. Born Gaynor Hopkins in Skewen on June 8, 1951, she was known professionally as Bonnie Tyler, a beloved Welsh singer whose powerful voice defined classics like Total Eclipse of the Heart and Holding Out for a Hero," the notice read.

"She rose from local club performances to global fame, earning an MBE, Grammy nominations, and a place in music history with her iconic raspy vocals and unforgettable ballads," the message continued.

"(Tyler was) a warm, generous artist whose music touched generations and continues to fill dance floors and karaoke booths around the world."

Following news of Tyler's death earlier this month, tributes poured in from music fans as well as stars including Rod Stewart, Bryan Adams and Catherine Zeta-Jones.

Tyler is survived by her husband of more than 50 years, Robert Sullivan.
