The Rolling Stones are charging toward the top spot on this week’s Official Albums Chart with their latest release, Foreign Tongues. The rock legends’ 25th studio project is on track to earn Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, and Ronnie Wood their 15th Number 1 album. This landmark achievement comes an incredible 62 years after their self-titled debut record first topped the UK charts back in 1964.
Sitting in the runner-up spot midweek are My Chemical Romance with Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys. The 2010 collection is enjoying a massive resurgence at Number 2 following the release of a remastered Deluxe Edition. The band's momentum is heavily fueled by their highly anticipated, sold-out shows at London’s Wembley Stadium last week. The stadium gigs have caused a surge across their wider catalogue, with 2006’s iconic The Black Parade climbing five places to Number 20 and their 2014 compilation May Death Never Stop You jumping eight places to Number 33.
Another rock staple, Bring Me The Horizon, could achieve a new personal best this Friday. The Sheffield outfit's 2006 debut has been expanded and completely re-recorded for its 20th anniversary as Count Your Blessings | Repented, currently sitting at Number 3. If it holds its position, it will mark the band's sixth Top 10 album.
Meanwhile, new English-Irish boy band December 10 are eyeing their first-ever Top 10 album with their debut set, On Your Side. The seven-piece pop force, consisting of Cruz Lee-Ojo, Danny Bretherton, Hendrik Christoffersen, John Fadare, Josh Olliver, Nicolas Alves, and Seán Hayden, currently holds the Number 4 spot.
Rounding out the midweek highlights, Jack White’s seventh studio album Frozen Charlotte sits at Number 8, closely followed by The Specials’ Live From The Cathedral at Number 9. Atlanta rapper Future is on track for his 13th Top 40 album with The Real Me at Number 13, while Adam Lambert's sixth studio set, ADAM, rests at Number 26. Finally, Thin Lizzy’s eponymous 1971 debut is poised to enter the Top 40 for the first time ever thanks to a new 4LP Deluxe Edition.
