Jelly Roll has opened up about the way "stress eating" has impacted his weight-loss journey.

Over the past two years, the singer-rapper - real name Jason DeFord - has shed a staggering 275 pounds (125 kilograms) without using weight-loss medications.

In January, Jelly announced that he had reached his goal weight of 265 pounds (120 kilograms).

But in a new YouTube video titled My Advice For Losing Weight, the Son of a Sinner star confessed that he has been struggling with portion control in recent weeks.

"I've been overeating the last three or four days and I was feeling myself stress eat," he began. "The addict in me came out. We had this show at this one spot that I love their catering, and they have a dairy-free skillet cookie. I don't eat nothing like that. I'm like a drug addict. You can't eat that because if I ate one, I'll eat two - I ate four. So later that night, I'm at the taco truck getting a peanut butter fluff."

Jelly went on to recount how he ended up consuming 2,000 extra calories.

"It's like the taste of blood (for a shark). Now it's going to take me a whole week to get that completely out of my mouth," the 41-year-old continued. "People are like, 'Oh, you can have one for a cheat meal.' I was like, 'You can have one cheat meal! I can't.' You know what I'm saying? Because it might be a five-day food bender (for me)."

To conclude, Jelly explained that he tries to give himself "grace" when he overeats, but now "makes it a rule" not to have two days of ignoring his diet.

"The problem is it starts compounding in the days," he emphasised. "Like I teach people whenever we are (talking) music, you got to have a short memory. You hit a bad note, who cares? The next note already started."

Last month, Jelly confirmed he had filed for divorce from his wife, Bunnie Xo, in late May. The pair had been married since 2016.
