Ellie Goulding will take centre stage on Saturday (11.07.26), performing at halftime at the England v Norway FIFA World Cup match.

The Miracle singer delivered the news on Instagram alongside a series of pictures of her jumping on the bed with joy in a Crystal Palace t-shirt: "Performing at halftime for England football team vs Norway has me feeling like truly anything could happen…

"I already know the boys will make England proud, it’s coming home."

The quarterfinal showdown will take place at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida.

Kick-off is at 10pm BST (5pm local time).

The final on July 19 - which has been curated by Coldplay frontman Chris Martin - will feature the likes of Madonna, BTS, Burna Boy and Justin Bieber.

Justin, 32, said: “The FIFA World Cup brings the world together in a way nothing else can. I’m grateful to be part of this halftime show, and even more grateful knowing it’s already helping expand access to education for children around the world."

The concert will raise funds for the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund.

It's also rumoured that Robbie Williams will join Italian pop star Laura Pausini to perform their official FIFA anthem Desire on the pitch at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

The opening ceremony in Mexico City featured Shakira, Burna Boy and J Balvin.

Shakira and Burna Boy have been storming the charts with the official FIFA World Cup anthem, Dai Dai.

The track became the most-streamed song on Spotify globally, as well as topping the Billboard Global Chart.

Dai Dai, which fuses Latin and pop rhythm with Nigerian afrobeat, was released in support of the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund.

Shakira has partnered with Global Citizen and FIFA to provide access to education for children in underserved communities.

Her royalties from Dai Dai are being donated to the Education Fund, while Sony Music vowed to match the first $250,000 raised with a donation.
