Cardi B reflected on "overcoming fear" to release her sophomore album at the 2026 BET Awards on Sunday night.
Last September, the I Like It hitmaker released Am I the Drama? - the follow-up to her debut 2018 album, Invasion of Privacy.
During the ceremony held at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, Luke James and Jacob Latimore presented Cardi with the prize for Best Female Hip Hop Artist.
Taking to the stage, the Up star joked that the prize was "heavier than my baby".
"Thank you so much for this award. This award means so much to me. Three babies later, I put the album out, honey. Yes. I overcame my fear, my anxiety and I put it out," she began. "I put it out, and guess what? I won an award."
Cardi, real name Belcalis Almánzar, went on to thank all the fans who attended her Little Miss Drama Tour dates.
"I love my babies. I love Jesus. Thank you so much," the 33-year-old added.
Cardi shares children Kulture, seven, Wave, four, and Blossom, 21 months, with ex-husband Offset, and a new baby boy with former boyfriend Stefon Diggs.
Amid the prizegiving, the rapper also wowed viewers with a high-energy medley of her songs Hello, Check Please, ErrTime, and Pretty & Petty from Am I the Drama?
Other artists to perform at the star-studded spectacle included T.I., who opened the show with his songs Top Back and Let 'Em Know, and Raye, who offered up an emotional version of her track Nightingale Lane, while Tems sang What You Need.
Clipse won Album of the Year for Let God Sort Em Out, and Kehlani took home Video of the Year for Folded.
