Grammy Award-winning rock star Yungblud headlined for a massive crowd of 20,000 at Bludfest Year 3 in Hradec Králové, Czechia. Created by the 28-year-old British musician, the one-day festival expanded its borders to deliver a spectacular showcase of rock, punk, and alternative music across three dynamic stages.
Taking to the stage to deafening screams, Yungblud opened his headlining set with the brooding introduction to his nine-minute epic "Hello Heaven, Hello" before a confetti blast ignited the audience. Clearly exhilarated, he launched into the raucous "Lovesick Lullaby" amid bursts of pyrotechnics, greeting the crowd in Czech by shouting "ruce nahoru" ("hands up"). Across a career-spanning set, he ripped through material from all four of his studio albums and his collaborative EP with Aerosmith, including fan favorites like "The Funeral," "My Only Angel," and the Grammy-nominated "Zombie."
In keeping with tradition, the Doncaster musician scanned the audience for handmade signs before playing the anthemic "Fleabag." He invited a young fan wearing a Nirvana t-shirt onto the stage to take over rhythm guitar duties, proving the inclusive spirit of the event. Later, he brought the festival’s female-led production team onstage to pay tribute to their hard work, and delivered a stunning, hushed rendition of Ozzy Osbourne's "Changes."
The festival grounds featured an incredible lineup of established and emerging talent. Czech pop star Pam Rabbit kicked off the main stage, followed by rising star Nieve Ella, who debuted her brand-new song, "Standing on a Pane of Glass." On the newly introduced Stage 2, Jesse Jo Stark mesmerized fans with desert rock, while Scottish heavyweights Biffy Clyro delivered a blistering performance featuring their mega-hits. Primal Scream later led the crowd in powerful, hymn-like singalongs.
Between sets, fans explored new gothic-style installations like the YBHQ Club and the Make A Friend tent. Yungblud himself was spotted zipping around the site in a buggy, high-fiving delighted fans and solidifying the event as a historic celebration of community and rock music.
