Madonna has revealed she has a "bad knee" from dancing in high heels for "so long".
In a conversation for Interview magazine published on Monday, the Queen of Pop shared that years of performing onstage and exercising have taken a toll on her joints.
"I have a bad knee now. I have no cartilage in it, thanks to dancing for so long in high heels and running on pavement and doing Ashtanga yoga," the 67-year-old said. "Up until a year ago, I was jumping on trampolines and doing dance cardio and doing a lot of what a doctor would call loading on my joints. Can't do that anymore."
Madonna went on to explain that she still rides her bike and does high-intensity circuit training to maintain her fitness levels.
In addition, the Hung Up hitmaker admitted that she has no interest in being "naked" anymore because "everyone's naked".
"Now I don't want to be naked because everyone's naked. That's my nature. I want to do what people are not doing, which is thinking and wearing clothes," she explained.
Elsewhere in the chat, Madonna opened up about her upcoming project, Confessions II - a sequel to her 2005 album Confessions on a Dance Floor.
Reflecting on the process, the Material Girl icon described how she decided to call up producer Stuart Price one day because the "world is in a very dark place and people need to dance".
"I was living in New York, and I reached out to him, thinking, 'What if we tried to make Confessions on a Dance Floor: Part II, and reenter the world of inspirational dance music?' So I came to London and went to his studio, and we were just playing around to see if there was magic between us."
Confessions II, featuring the singles Bring Your Love and Love Sensation, is set to drop on 3 July.
