BBC Music has officially announced a world-exclusive television special, Madonna & Graham, scheduled to broadcast on BBC One on Friday, June 26, 2026. The highly anticipated programme features legendary talk-show host Graham Norton sitting down with global pop icon Madonna for an intimate, in-depth discussion detailing her extraordinary life, celebrated career, and lasting cultural impact.

Recorded at the historic Koko venue in Camden, London—the exact stage that hosted Madonna's first-ever UK performance in 1983, as well as her landmark 2005 album launch—the special comes just ahead of the release of her much-anticipated studio album, Confessions II, arriving this July. During the rare television event, the music icon reflects on her early creative days in New York, her enduring relationship with British audiences, and her recent high-profile performance at the Coachella festival.

The broadcast will also feature appearances from special guests, including a segment with Madonna's long-time musical collaborator and producer Stuart Price. Together, they take Norton behind the scenes of the upcoming record, revealing the specific inspirations and creative processes that shaped the tracklist.

"As a lifelong fan it is always a thrill to interview Madonna, but to meet her on the dance floor where she first performed in London over thirty years ago felt incredibly special," Norton shared, praising her status as an inimitable pop visionary. Jonathan Rothery, Head of BBC Popular Music TV, described the commissioning decision as an absolute "no-brainer," highlighting the unique dynamic between a master of chat and a legendary artist.

Amassing 13 UK Number 1 singles and 12 UK Number 1 albums over her career, Madonna remains one of the best-selling recording acts in musical history. Following the initial BBC One television broadcast, a radio iteration of the interview will air on BBC Radio 2 on Saturday, July 4, 2026. Both programs will be available for public streaming on BBC iPlayer and BBC Sounds for 30 days post-transmission.
