Singer-songwriter Niall Horan has officially secured a hat-trick of UK Number 1 albums, celebrating the biggest opening week of his solo career as his fourth studio album, Dinner Party, debuted straight at the summit of the Official Albums Chart. Released via EMI, the record replicates the previous chart-topping success of his 2020 album Heartbreak Weather and his 2023 release The Show.
With this latest achievement, Horan becomes the second former member of the global pop phenomenon One Direction to secure three solo number-one albums, matching the historical chart feat of his former bandmate Harry Styles. In addition to conquering the primary album standings, Dinner Party also claimed the top spot on the Official Vinyl Albums Chart after shifting the most physical copies on wax over the past seven days. Horan expressed deep gratitude to his fanbase for buying and streaming the project.
It was also a monumental week for the Birmingham-based indie four-piece overpass, who achieved a debut entry inside the Top 5 with their maiden studio album, Elsewhere, Always. Beyond securing the Number 5 position on the main chart, the band claimed Number 1 on both the Official Independent Albums Chart and the Official Record Store Chart, reflecting strong sales across independent UK retail outlets.
Further down the standings, Hollywood multihyphenate Jeff Goldblum and his Mildred Snitzer Orchestra achieved their highest-charting musical project to date as Night Blooms entered the charts at Number 9. The release also marked their fifth consecutive chart-topper on the Official Jazz and Blues Albums Chart. US rock stalwarts Evanescence secured their fifth career Top 10 album as Sanctuary debuted at Number 10, while Dua Lipa’s live collection, Live From Mexico, surged seven places to reach a new peak at Number 14. The lower brackets of the Top 40 featured new entries from breakthrough California artist Malcolm Todd, electronic duo Prospa, soul artist Jalen Ngonda, and pop icon Barry Manilow.
