Olivia Rodrigo had a "near anxiety attack" before stepping onto Glastonbury's Pyramid Stage.
The 23-year-old singer topped the bill at the world-famous festival in 2025, delivering a stellar set - complete with an appearance from The Cure’s Robert Smith - that fans lapped up. But they’d never have guessed she’d had a full-blown wobble moments before stepping onstage.
Once she grabbed the mic, though, every last bit of panic disappeared.
She told the BBC: "I remember having like a near anxiety attack in the bathroom, like, 'How am I going to do this? I don't know if I'm ready.'
"But something overcame me the second I stepped on stage and started singing. I felt, like, totally calm and so in my element.
"I'm not very spiritual or religious, but it's moments like that where I feel music is just so magical that you just can't really describe it."
Olivia loves British cuisine - including dippy eggs - and consumed three sticky toffee puddings ahead of the set.
She said: "I stayed at this [hotel] that had the best sticky toffee pudding, and I was like, 'You know what? I gotta do it'.
"If the toffee's really hot and the ice cream melts on top, it's really good."
She loves dippy eggs and soldiers (toast) so much, her friends buy her egg cups.
Olivia - who will release her third album, You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love, on Friday (12.06.26) - said: "My favourite thing is dipping soldiers into an egg.
"I got really obsessed with it. My friends even bought me different egg cups from all over the world."
Elsewhere, Olivia revealed that she is 60 per cent deaf in her left ear.
She said: "Yes, I have 60 per cent hearing loss in my left ear. If you sat on this side of me and tried to tell me a secret, I wouldn't be able to hear you."
Before her pop career, Olivia was an actress, with leading roles in the Disney Channel series Bizaardvark and Disney+ series High School Musical: The Musical: The Series.
Asked what job offer would entice her back to acting, she replied: "Juliet in Romeo and Juliet. Obviously, the best love story of all time."
