The BRIT Awards has officially announced that the 2027 ceremony will take place on Saturday, February 27, returning to Manchester’s Co-op Live for a second consecutive year. The upcoming show will mark a historic milestone for the event, celebrating exactly 50 years since the very first iconic music awards ceremony was televised. The prime-time Saturday night event will be broadcast live nationwide on ITV1 and ITVX.
Stacey Tang, the Co-President of RCA Records at Sony Music UK, will reprise her role as the Chair of the BRIT Committee. In this position, Tang will oversee all core aspects of the 2027 production, including the primary creative direction. She will be supported by a dedicated committee comprised of representatives from major and independent UK record labels, BRITs TV, and the BPI, which acts as the representative voice for the British record industry.
The announcement follows a record-breaking 2026 campaign that delivered the highest global audience and social media reach in the history of the awards. The previous Manchester showcase featured a massive live performance lineup including Harry Styles, Mark Ronson, Olivia Dean, and Rosalia. In the weeks leading up to the main event, the awards heavily integrated into the local community through a city-wide cultural program, the inaugural BRITs Fringe, and a series of specialized charity concerts that successfully raised over £1.16 million for War Child.
"There was such an incredible energy around the 2026 show—across the city, the industry and with fans everywhere," stated Tang. She noted that the committee is eager to build upon that international success by continually pushing the broadcast creatively while celebrating the diverse communities that define modern British music. Manchester City Council leaders also expressed their enthusiasm for the economic and cultural impact of the extension, highlighting the ongoing creative opportunities generated for young regional musicians. Further promotional campaign and voting announcements for the milestone anniversary show will be revealed in the coming months.
