Irish singer-songwriter Niall Horan is poised to secure his third number one album in the United Kingdom, as early mid-week sales and streaming data point to a dominant debut for his latest release. According to the Official Albums Chart update, Horan's fourth solo studio album, Dinner Party, has shot straight to the top spot of the preliminary standings, positioning the pop star to complete a historic hat-trick of chart-topping records following 2020's Heartbreak Weather and 2023’s The Show.

The preliminary tracking data reveals an incredibly competitive week for new musical releases across the nation. Brummie rock outfit Overpass is on track for a maiden chart appearance, with their debut full-length record, Elsewhere Always, landing at number three. Close behind at number four is jazz ensemble Jeff Goldblum & the Mildred Snitzer Orchestra, looking to clinch a new personal best with Night Blooms, which features collaborative tracks alongside Charlie Puth, Melody Gardot, Cynthia Erivo, and dodie. US rock stalwarts Evanescence round out the preliminary Top 5, beginning their campaign for a fifth Top 10 prize with their new LP, Sanctuary.

Further down the tracking database, legendary progressive rock band Pink Floyd are on course to net their 21st Top 10 album with 8-Tracks, a specially curated compilation of classics spanning 1971 to 1979. Soul singer Jalen Ngonda is primed for a Top 10 placement at number nine with his highly anticipated sophomore album, Doctrine of Love, while Dua Lipa’s Live From Mexico eyes an eleven-place jump to pierce the Top 10 standings for the first time.

Rising star Malcolm Todd is also making significant waves, with his third studio album Do That Again tracking at number 12, hot on the heels of his recent singles chart success. Additionally, vocal powerhouse Barry Manilow is approaching a milestone 25th Top 40 placement with What A Time, and electronic dance duo Prospa are looking to make their debut mark on the main album standings with their first full release, Free Your Mind.
