Weiland working on solo album

Scott Weiland is working on a new CD.

Yesterday morning he told Howard Stern that he is currently working on his second solo album with producer Steve Albini and looking at a November release.

No Doubt drummer Adrian Young also plays on the album. A release date and title have yet to be revealed. This will be Weiland's first solo effort since his first album "12 Bar Blues" was issued in 1998.

Weiland, who was dismissed from VELVET REVOLVER on April 1, has reunited with STONE TEMPLE PILOTS for a lengthy spring and summer tour.
