Sean 'Diddy' Combs could be facing justice once again over allegations of sex crimes, this time on the US West Coast.

In autumn last year, Los Angeles police presented sexual assault investigations for a local victim to the LA County District Attorney's Office. A spokesperson told Deadline on Tuesday, "We are reviewing the case."

The case is that of music producer Jonathan Hay, who first made claims of sexual battery against him by Combs back in 2020.

If Los Angeles District Attorney Nathan Hochman decides to press felony charges against the Bad Boy Records founder, Combs is looking at several years in a California prison if found guilty.

In autumn last year, Combs' civil attorney Jonathan Davis vehemently denied the claims on his behalf.

"Let me make it absolutely clear: Mr Combs categorically denies as false and defamatory all claims that he sexually abused anyone," he insisted at the time.

"He looks forward to vindicating himself in court, where such matters are decided, and not in the media, based on admissible, material evidence, not rank speculation and unsubstantiated allegations."

Combs is currently serving at least two more years, pending appeal, at Fort Dix correctional institution in New Jersey, after a New York jury found him guilty last year of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution.
