Beyoncé has sent the BeyHive into full detective mode after uploading a new video to her website — and fans are now convinced she’s gearing up to release a full-blown rock album, complete with a guest appearance from Stevie Nicks.
The clip, pulled from the archives, shows Nicks on the set of Destiny’s Child’s 2001 Bootylicious video.
The Destiny’s Child video famously lifted from Nicks’ 1982 classic Edge of Seventeen, and the Fleetwood Mac icon even appeared in the opening moments, guitar in hand, as the group paid homage to her.
In the resurfaced footage, Nicks praises the trio, saying, “I think that these girls can really sing,” while Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams beam beside her.
The timing of the upload hasn’t gone unnoticed. It arrives just as insiders claim Beyoncé is preparing to update fans on her long-rumoured rock project at Monday’s (04.05.26) Met Gala.
A source told The Sun’s Bizarre column that the singer is “days away” from dropping new music, calling the upcoming album “one of her most progressive and exciting” yet.
The insider added: “Fans do not have long to wait.
“Beyoncé will reveal what she has been working on.”
The outlet also reported that the new record draws inspiration from the late funk pioneer Betty Davis and Prince — two artists known for pushing boundaries and blending genres.
Combined with the newly posted Stevie Nicks footage, fans believe Beyoncé is signalling a guitar-driven direction for her next era.
With the Met Gala just around the corner and Beyoncé leaning into cryptic visual clues once again, speculation is only intensifying.
The new record will seemingly complete the three-act trilogy, following 2022's disco LP Renaissance and 2024 country record Cowboy Carter.
