Olivia Rodrigo has confirmed her split from Louis Partridge in a new magazine interview.
Following months of speculation over her love life, the 23-year-old singer has revealed she's back on the dating scene and is enjoying her "friendship love" era.
In the cover interview for Cosmopolitan's Beauty Issue, the musician was quizzed by her close friend Madison Hu about which "phase of love" she's currently in.
"I'm in the most important phase, the friendship love that I'm sitting right across from," Olivia replied.
"Best friend, community love. Dating is just the cherry on top," she continued.
Olivia and British actor Louis first sparked romance rumours when they were seen together in London in late 2023.
However, in December last year Olivia sparked split speculation after she was reportedly seen in tears while attending Lily Allen's Christmas party at a London club.
When asked what she has learnt from love recently, the drop dead star insisted she remains optimistic about finding the right person.
"Patience," Olivia replied. "Things happen the way that they're supposed to happen. It's not supposed to be white knuckle."
As she continued to discuss relationships, the star shared her hopes of finding happiness with someone who makes her laugh as much as her best friend Madison.
The singer-songwriter also revealed turning 23 in February has left her feeling "a lot less afraid, in a good way", but insisted she still struggles with anxiety.
Elsewhere in the interview, Olivia discussed her new album and revealed many of the songs are about being "sad, angry and heartbroken", as she admitted she relishes writing love songs that make people cry.
The star's third studio album, titled you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love, is set for release in June.
