Ed Sheeran has revealed that he's been suffering from shingles.
The Grammy winner took to Instagram with a post about "a lot of new beginnings in my life" on Tuesday, and shared the health update as part of that.
"I've had shingles for the last month, wouldn't recommend it, but on the mend now," he wrote.
Shingles is a painful condition caused by the same virus that causes chickenpox and typically occurs in people older than 50. Sheeran is 35.
In the post, the Shape of You crooner also revealed that he had shaved his head.
"I wanted to shave it to signify a fresh start," he shared. "I love it, thinking of keeping it this way."
The Thinking Out Loud singer released his most recent album, Play, in September last year and is currently in the midst of his Loop Tour, which kicked off in January and continues through to December.
"Restarting the Loop tour in a week and a bit," he added. "Can't wait to get back cracking on that, see you lovely people there."
Following a two-month break from shows, Sheeran will next perform in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. The concert marks the start of the Loop Tour's Latin America leg.
"More Latam dates," he announced of the tour. "So so excited for that. Mexico, Brazil, Paraguay, Argentina, Chile. So excited to come back and play for you there, some of my fav countries and cities to play shows in, it's been too long."
