Bad Bunny has set a milestone as DtMF adds a 57th week at No. 1 on Billboard's Hot Latin Songs chart.
The achievement sets a new record for the longest command in the chart's nearly 40-year history, surpassing the reign of Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee's Despacito, featuring Justin Bieber.
Despacito set a new standard in the Latin music landscape's global influence when the Bieber-assisted remix propelled the song to an unprecedented 56-week stint atop the chart between 2017 and 2018.
At 41 weeks, the third-longest song to sit at the top of the Hot Latin chart is the 2014 hit Bailando by Enrique Iglesias featuring Descemer Bueno and Gente de Zona.
DtMF, an acronym for Debí Tirar Más Fotos, or I Should Have Taken More Photos, was released by the Puerto Rican rapper on 23 January 2025. It topped the charts in more than 30 countries worldwide, including France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the US, and reached the top 5 in more than 10 others, including the UK and Australia.
In the US, the all-Spanish-language track became the second all-Spanish-language song to reach number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, after La Bamba by Los Lobos in 1987.
