Radiohead's 'In Rainbows' has been nominated for an Ivor Novello award for Best Album. Other nominees of note include Kate Nash, Kaiser Chiefs, Mika and Klaxons.

Ivor Novello Awards, named after the Cardiff born entertainer Ivor Novello, are awards for songwriting and composing. The "Ivors" are presented yearly in London by the British Academy of Composers and Songwriters, and were first introduced in 1955.

Radiohead's 'In Rainbows' is up against 'Man On The Roof' by Stephen Fretwell and Cherry Ghost's 'Thirst For Romance'.

Kate Nash's 'Foundations' is in the running for Best Contemporary Song as are Klaxons with 'Golden Skans' while Mika and Amy Winehouse eye best selling British song.
