The intersection of world-class entertainment and community support is back. JOY. Concerts has officially announced the 2026 return of the NHS My Music series, featuring a powerhouse lineup of British music icons. This year, the series expands across Sussex with headline performances from Lulu, Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark (OMD), and Starsailor, all aimed at raising vital funds for local healthcare services.
Launched in 2025, the NHS My Music initiative creates a unique synergy between the arts and philanthropy. Under a long-term partnership with My Charity University Hospitals Sussex, the series ensures that 100% of profits from ticket and merchandise sales are funneled directly back into the community. These funds support seven local hospitals, financing everything from life-saving neonatal equipment to advanced technology for cancer treatment and staff wellbeing initiatives.
The upcoming schedule offers a diverse sonic journey through British pop and electronic history:
Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark (June 28): The synth-pop pioneers will bring their influential sound to the Brighton Centre, proving why they remain icons of the electronic genre.
Starsailor (October 3): Celebrating the 25th anniversary of their seminal album Love Is Here, the band will perform a special "with strings" set at the De La Warr Pavilion in Bexhill.
Lulu (October 15): The legendary Eurovision winner and "Relight My Fire" star will take over the Brighton Dome. Fans can expect a career-spanning celebration, with optional pre-show meet-and-greet packages available for the ultimate experience.
For JOY. Concerts and My UHSussex, these shows are about more than just a good night out. "Every penny raised enables us to go far beyond the vital services provided by the NHS," explains Giles Witcomb, Head of Fundraising.
By delivering commercially viable shows with a charitable heart, the series allows music lovers to support the research and innovation that Sussex relies on. Tickets are currently on sale at joyconcerts.com, with more acts expected to join the itinerary soon.
