Soccer star Jorginho Frello has shared an update on the incident between his stepdaughter, Ada, and Chappell Roan's security guard.

"I want to update you all on what happened during the Lolla weekend," Frello wrote in a statement shared via his Instagram Story on Monday.

"Over the past few weeks, a lot has been said, and now that new information has come to light, I felt it was important to set the record straight."

Frello continued, "I issued my initial statement in the heat of the moment, after learning that my daughter and my wife had been approached in an intimidating manner by a security guard. I reacted the way any father would. My priority is, and always will be, protecting my family, and that is exactly what I did."

Back in March, Frello made headlines when he claimed that his 11-year-old stepdaughter had an upsetting interaction with one of Roan's security guards while staying at the same hotel as Roan ahead of her headline slot at Lollapalooza Brazil.

At the time, Frello alleged a security guard had approached Cavelli's table and "began speaking in an extremely aggressive manner to both my wife and my daughter".

Roan responded to the claims via her Instagram Stories, sharing that she "did not see a woman and a child" and did not ask security to "go up and talk" to the family.

In his update on Monday, Frello admitted, "At the time, we acted based on the information we had available to us in that moment. Since then, I have become aware of new information that has shifted my understanding of certain aspects of the incident.

"It was, ultimately, a misunderstanding in that respect, and I am glad to set the record straight."
