Megan Moroney and Miranda Lambert are the leaders of the pack for this year's Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards.

Women dominated the nominees for the annual country music prizegiving on Thursday, with Moroney leading with nine nods, followed by Lambert with eight, and Ella Langley and Lainey Wilson with seven each.

Moroney's nominations include Entertainer of the Year, Female Artist of the Year, Artist-Songwriter of the Year, Song of the Year for Am I Okay? and Single of the Year for 6 Months Later.

Lambert, who is the most decorated artist in ACM history with 33 wins, received her 17th nomination for Female Artist of the Year, making her the most-nominated musician in that category. In addition to Moroney, she will compete against Wilson, Langley and Kelsea Ballerini for the title.

Lambert is also nominated for Song of the Year, Music Event of the Year and Visual Media of the Year for A Song To Sing, her collaboration with Chris Stapleton, the most-nominated male artist this year with six nods.

Stapleton is also up for Male Artist of the Year alongside Luke Combs, Cody Johnson, Riley Green and Zach Top.

Moroney, a first-time Entertainer of the Year nominee, will face six repeat nominees to win the night's biggest prize. Her competitors include Stapleton, Wilson, Combs, Johnson, Jelly Roll, and Morgan Wallen. Wilson won the coveted award last year.

The 2026 ACM Awards will be held on 17 May at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The show will air live on Prime Video.
